Furniture, fixtures and appliances come from the INK TO BRICK catalog in the Items tab. Every piece carries its real size and the clearance it needs in front and around it, so the plan shows the room each piece really takes up.
Open the catalog
Choose the Items tab, or press F from anywhere in the editor. The panel opens on the whole catalog, grouped by collection.
Narrow it down
- Collection or style keeps one collection or one style.
- Furniture role keeps one kind of piece, such as beds or seating.
- Search pieces finds a piece by name. Press Enter or choose Search.
When nothing matches, the panel says so; try another collection, role or word. Load more pieces at the bottom of the list fetches the next page.
Read a piece before you place it
Choose Inspect piece to open its details: width, depth and height in the units you picked in the toolbar, its colours and materials, the rooms it suits, and the clearance it needs on each side. Pieces that need clearance carry a Clearance required badge in the list.
The details also draw the piece from above. The solid outline is the piece itself, the dashed one is the space it needs clear, and a dotted one, when it differs, is the outline used to check collisions. The licence each piece was published under is printed with it.
Add it to the plan
Choose Add to plan. The piece follows the cursor over the model until you click, and nothing changes in the room until you do. Placing and arranging covers turning it, moving it later and placing several at once.
Doors, windows and built-ins
Doors and windows are not in the catalog: they sit inside walls, so they come from the Build tab. See Doors and windows. Kitchen cabinets and shelves are Build tools too; the next page shows how they run along a wall.
