The editor hands your home to other software in 20 formats, from a floor plan PDF to a model for Blender, SketchUp or a 3D printer. Every export is made from a saved version of the design, so the file matches what you last saved rather than an edit still in flight.
Start an export from the editor
- Open the Settings tab. Under Export, choose Export GLB, Export STL or Export OBJ for a 3D model, or Full floor plan or Structure only for a plan drawing.
- The export window opens on the format you chose. Change it in the File format menu to any of the others.
- Choose Create, then wait while the file is prepared. The window can stay open while it works; when the file is ready, Download saves it.
Each export is kept as a saved copy of that exact version. The same window lists them under Saved model files, so you can download one again later.
Pick a format
The 20 formats sit in 4 groups: floor plans, 3D models, model data and images. The last column says which plans include each one.
Floorplan export formats compares them in more depth, and each hand-off has its own guide: Blender, SketchUp, DXF or DWG, AR with USDZ and 3D printing.
Export only what is showing
Turn on Visible nodes only, above the export buttons, to leave out anything you have hidden in the Scene tab. Hide the furniture first, for example, to export the bare shell for a renderer.
For a model, the Model source menu chooses between the canonical model and the model you originally uploaded, and a saved presentation when there is one.
Export a floor plan drawing
Full floor plan draws rooms, walls, doors and windows, fixtures, labels and dimensions. Structure only leaves the fixtures out. Both open as a PDF, and you can switch to SVG, DXF or DWG.
Back up the scene as a file
Under Save & Load in the Settings tab, Save Build downloads the whole scene as a JSON file. Load Build reads such a file back: the editor checks it first and shows what it holds, and replacing the scene only happens once you confirm. The replacement is one step, so Cmd/Ctrl + Z takes it back.
Load Build refuses a file that uses a drawing tool your plan does not include, such as ducts and pipes, which are on the Business plan.
On the sample home
Nothing on the sample home is saved, so every export button asks you to create an account instead. Upload your own plan and the same buttons make real files.
