Casa Giro: wide one-bedroom plan with a partial kitchen partition

Casa Giro is the editorial name for this study of ResPlan plan 13724, reconstructed in 3D by Lodnor. A long living room wraps around the end of the kitchen partition, while the bedroom occupies the opposite end of the plan. Two bathrooms sit side by side along the lower edge of the drawing.

A partition that asks for a turn

Casa Giro is organized around the end of the kitchen partition rather than a straight connection through it. The living room’s length gives the eye a continuous space, but the passage around the wall is the point that deserves closer attention.

The reconstructed envelope is approximately 9.33 × 5.52 m, using the public model’s width and depth. Keep that overall scale separate from bedroom width, passage clearance and furniture size: each needs its own check against a dimensioned source or a site measurement.

Separate the long view from the walking line

The bedroom occupies the opposite end of the plan, so crossing the living room is part of moving between shared and private activities. The paired bathrooms along the lower drawing edge create additional destinations. Locate their openings before assuming a single unobstructed route serves everything.

Keep the kitchen return usable

A proposed table near the partition’s end should be assessed with chairs in use. Moving it deeper into the long room may protect the kitchen return, while placing storage against that return may pinch it. Compare those alternatives before considering a change to the partition.

Compare two routes around the same wall

Orbit to see the partition end from the living room and from the kitchen. On a screenshot, mark the route to the bedroom and the route to each bathroom. Test a table position against all three destinations rather than judging only the kitchen view.

A table position succeeds only if it respects the partition return and all three destinations; identify that relationship before comparing finishes or upholstery in the model.
