Casa Recodo is the editorial name for this study of ResPlan plan 10363, reconstructed in 3D by Lodnor. The living area turns around an open-ended kitchen bay to reach a single bedroom and two bathrooms. The bathrooms occupy a stepped internal corner beside the bedroom within a rectangular outer footprint.

The rectangle contains an internal bend

The outer footprint of Casa Recodo is rectangular, but its useful shared space is L-shaped. The open-ended kitchen bay causes the turn, while the bathroom pair creates a stepped internal corner. A simple outline therefore conceals a more demanding arrangement of thresholds.

Its reported model bounds are about 9.52 × 5.70 m in width and depth. This is a useful orientation cue for the cutaway, not a measured statement about a property. Judge the arrangement first, then verify the particular dimensions a proposal depends on.

Move around the kitchen rather than across it

The living area carries movement around the kitchen bay toward the bedroom and bathrooms. Its two arms have related but different roles: one can hold a gathering arrangement, while the turn must still connect destinations. Judge the corner from both directions before furnishing it.

Use furniture to clarify the L

A seating group can reinforce one arm of the living room without extending across the bend. The tempting alternative is to fill the corner because it looks empty from above. That corner may instead be the essential connection between the open kitchen and the private rooms.

Look at the turn from both arms

Use the cutaway to locate the stepped bathroom corner. Trace a line from the kitchen opening toward the bedroom, then repeat it with a proposed sofa footprint drawn across the bend. Ask whether the arrangement separates activities or simply narrows their shared passage.

The L-shaped room’s corner is the deciding point; a larger clear area in one arm cannot compensate for a blocked connection in the other arm.
