Casa Apertura is the editorial name for this study of ResPlan plan 4581, reconstructed in 3D by Lodnor. The kitchen and living area meet through a broad central opening, with bedrooms set at opposite corners around them. Two bathrooms occupy separate middle bays, one beside the upper bedroom and one beside the lower bedroom.

A broad opening ties the shared rooms together

Casa Apertura places a broad opening between kitchen and living area, with bedrooms at opposite corners around the shared rooms. The two bathrooms occupy separate middle bays. This combination is useful for studying openness without treating all room connections as equivalent or assuming a single central corridor serves everything.

At approximately 10.65 × 6.74 m across its model bounds, this reconstruction gives a scale for comparing the room relationships. Multiplying those figures would describe a bounding rectangle rather than verified usable area, and the displayed furniture does not establish clearance.

Diagonal private routes meet the shared opening

The corner bedrooms place private destinations on different sides of the shared activity zone. The broad kitchen opening gives movement choices, but those choices may narrow once a dining table and chairs are added. Follow each bedroom’s approach independently instead of drawing a single generic circulation arrow.

Do not mistake openness for unused space

An open center can host dining while still carrying routes between rooms. The design question is how much of the opening remains genuinely usable when people sit or work. Compare a table near the kitchen edge with one farther into the living area before proposing new partitions or oversized furniture.

Review the opening with two people in motion

Locate the broad kitchen–living connection. Sketch a person at the kitchen edge and another moving from a corner bedroom toward the living area, then add a dining chair pulled back. Determine which of those positions would conflict first and what clearance needs a measured check.

The broad opening should be checked with both working and moving occupants represented, since empty-floor openness can disappear when the proposed table is actually being used.
