Casa Cuatro Rumbos: diagonal bedrooms linked by a short central hall
Explore Casa Cuatro Rumbos, a study of ResPlan plan 2151: diagonal bedrooms linked by a short central hall.
Casa Cuatro Rumbos is the editorial name for this study of ResPlan plan 2151, reconstructed in 3D by Lodnor. The bedrooms occupy opposite corners around a central hall, with the living room and kitchen in the other two corners. A short bathroom bay sits beside the kitchen, while a longer bathroom lies alongside the lower bedroom.
Four corners linked by a short hall
Casa Cuatro Rumbos distributes the bedrooms, kitchen and living room among four corners around a central hall. The bathrooms break that simple pattern with a shorter kitchen-side bay and a longer bedroom-side bay. Read the unequal service rooms alongside the corner arrangement rather than treating the plan as rotationally symmetrical.
Its reported model bounds are about 9.36 × 8.00 m in width and depth. This is a useful orientation cue for the cutaway, not a measured statement about a property. Judge the arrangement first, then verify the particular dimensions a proposal depends on.

The hall gathers diagonal journeys
The short hall connects destinations across the plan, so the diagonal bedroom positions affect the shared crossing. The bathroom bays add branches along different edges. A small furniture addition near the hall can therefore influence several journeys even if it barely changes the overall image of the rooms.
Let unequal bays remain unequal in the proposal
The longer bathroom bay is not confirmation of a particular fixture count, and the shorter one is not confirmation of guest-only use. Inspect openings rather than inferring functions from proportion. For a furniture proposal, protect the central hall first and test the adjacent room approaches individually.
Draw the crossing in both diagonal directions
Locate the central hall and mark the two bedroom corners. Trace each bedroom-to-kitchen journey, then add a hypothetical console at the hall edge. Compare those routes with the living-to-bathroom approach and identify which connection becomes the limiting condition for the console’s depth.
The console’s depth should be checked at the hall’s busiest crossing, not only against a blank wall; the unequal bathroom bays remain separate destinations in the drawing.
