Casa Espina is the editorial name for this study of ResPlan plan 3879, reconstructed in 3D by Lodnor. An extended living and circulation area connects the kitchen to bedrooms at opposite corners. Two horizontal bathrooms sit between the corner rooms, one beside the kitchen and one beneath the upper bedroom in the drawing.

The living area doubles as a central spine

Casa Espina extends living and circulation through the middle, connecting the kitchen with opposite-corner bedrooms. Horizontal bathroom bays occupy positions between the corner rooms. The plan is useful for asking how a shared room can carry movement without losing a coherent sitting area within its long central span.

The public model reports an approximate overall width and depth of 9.70 × 7.25 m. Those are model bounds, not internal room measurements or a usable floor-area calculation; recesses and wall thickness make that distinction relevant here.

The spine gathers trips from different corners

The diagonal bedroom arrangement sends different private routes into the extended shared band. The bathroom beside the kitchen and the one beneath the upper bedroom create additional branches. Mark those connections explicitly; the apparent width of the spine can disappear if furniture occupies its crucial turning points.

Keep seating coherent without making a corridor of furniture

A proposed seating island can organize the central area, provided the routes around it reach every corner and bathroom opening. Compare that with furniture placed mainly along the boundaries. The aim is a clear gathering place and clear connections, not simply maximizing the number of pieces shown in the model.

Compare central seating with edge seating

Mark the central spine and bathroom branches on a screenshot. Sketch a central sofa-and-chair group, then an alternative along the living edge. Trace both bedroom-to-kitchen trips and the bathroom approaches in each. Identify which option reduces detours without assuming the model proves furniture dimensions.

The central spine succeeds when sitting and moving have distinct usable space; list the route improved by each proposal and the remaining clearance that requires measured confirmation.
