Casa Banda Lateral: Two-bedroom layout with a side kitchen-and-bathroom strip
Two-bedroom layout with a side kitchen-and-bathroom strip. A layout study from ResPlan 11900.
Casa Banda Lateral is the editorial name for this two-bedroom layout study based on ResPlan 11900. The public tour offers a way to inspect room connections and boundaries; the name does not identify a built residence or commissioned renovation.
Reading the Casa Banda Lateral layout
Two bedrooms line one side of the plan, opening from the central living area. The kitchen and two bathrooms form a staggered strip along the other side, with a deep recess above the living area between the kitchen and upper bedroom.
The public model reports an approximate overall envelope of 10.01 × 8.089 m, with a modeled height of 3 m. These figures describe the reconstruction, not usable floor area, individual room dimensions or a verified building survey.

How the room routes connect
Casa Banda Lateral has a central room that distributes directly to two bedroom doors. The staggered kitchen-and-bathroom strip adds different depths along its opposite edge. Check those destinations individually before drawing one continuous circulation line. The deep recess above the living area is outside the room outline and must remain separate from the indoor path between kitchen and upper bedroom.
A furniture decision to compare
A sofa facing the staggered service strip may organize the living room visually, yet its rear or arm can interfere with bedroom access. Compare its orientation against both bedroom doors, not just the kitchen. Keep the upper recess in the frame: cropping it out can make the central room seem more regular and make an unsuitable continuous wall treatment appear plausible.
Review exercise: Casa Banda Lateral
Identify both bedroom doors from a top view and trace their routes from the kitchen side. Compare a sofa facing the staggered strip with one turned along the outer living edge, using equal footprints. Then inspect the upper recess from an oblique view. Note whether any route or proposed furniture has accidentally crossed the exterior gap.
