Casa Asimetría: two-bedroom rectangle with unequal bedroom bays
Explore Casa Asimetría, a study of ResPlan plan 16647: two-bedroom rectangle with unequal bedroom bays.
Casa Asimetría is the editorial name for this study of ResPlan plan 16647, reconstructed in 3D by Lodnor. Two bedrooms line one side of the plan, with the upper room extending farther toward the central circulation area. The living room opens toward a kitchen bay on the other side, and two bathrooms sit together beside the larger bedroom footprint.
A bedroom pair with unequal footprints
Casa Asimetría makes the bedroom pair unequal in the drawing: the upper room extends farther toward the circulation area. The kitchen and living room occupy the other side, with bathrooms grouped beside the larger bedroom footprint. A symmetrical furnishing diagram would conceal this central difference.
At approximately 10.95 × 7.81 m across its model bounds, this reconstruction gives a scale for comparing the room relationships. Multiplying those figures would describe a bounding rectangle rather than verified usable area, and the displayed furniture does not establish clearance.

The deeper bedroom changes the shared approach
The upper bedroom’s extra depth affects the neighboring circulation rather than only the room itself. Look at where its edge steps toward the bathroom cluster. A clear path beside the lower bedroom does not establish equal clearance beside the upper one, particularly after furniture occupies the shared room.
Different rooms need different furnishing proposals
Treat the two bedrooms as separate furniture-fit questions. Giving both the same bed and storage arrangement may make the comparison tidy while obscuring their actual proportions. In the shared area, align furniture with the kitchen opening only after preserving the narrower approach beside the projecting bedroom edge.
Compare the bedroom approaches rather than labels
Locate the step between bedroom footprints and sketch a seating group opposite it. Trace each bedroom-to-living route, then move the group toward the kitchen bay. Identify whether the upper room’s projection or a chair edge defines the tightest point in the two alternative arrangements.
The upper bedroom’s deeper footprint is the source condition to preserve; compare circulation beside that projection before adopting the same furniture arrangement for both bedrooms.
