Casa Dos Umbrales: Two short passages off a wide two-bedroom living room

Two short passages off a wide two-bedroom living room. A layout study from ResPlan 3265.

Casa Dos Umbrales is the editorial name for this two-bedroom layout study based on ResPlan 3265. The public tour offers a way to inspect room connections and boundaries; the name does not identify a built residence or commissioned renovation.

Reading the Casa Dos Umbrales layout

The bedrooms sit above the living area, with two bathroom bays between them. Separate short passages serve this upper room group, while a kitchen occupies the opposite end of the living room behind a doorway.

The public model reports an approximate overall envelope of 8.019 × 6.563 m, with a modeled height of 3 m. These figures describe the reconstruction, not usable floor area, individual room dimensions or a verified building survey.

Rotate the Casa Dos Umbrales study to inspect the connections described here. Compare the plan shape before checking thresholds, keeping the uncertainties noted in this story visible.

How the room routes connect

Casa Dos Umbrales has two small approaches to the bedroom group instead of one long hall. Read each passage independently: a clear route at one end does not show the other stays usable. Crossing from the enclosed kitchen to either bedroom also brings movement through the broad living room, so the shared room needs a recognizable walking edge.

A furniture decision to compare

The kitchen doorway is the strongest boundary in the shared part of this plan. Keep the dining proposal related to that threshold without letting pulled-back chairs occupy it. Upstairs in the drawing, avoid presenting the two bathroom bays as identical suites: their placement between bedrooms does not establish which rooms their doors serve.

Review exercise: Casa Dos Umbrales

Choose the kitchen doorway as a common starting point. Trace one trip through each short passage and compare the turns, visible doorways and potential furniture conflicts. In a second view, imagine a dining chair in use beside the kitchen. If it blocks both routes before they separate, the dining arrangement affects the whole private room group.
