Casa Lucerna: Two-bedroom layout with stepped bathroom projections

Two-bedroom layout with stepped bathroom projections. A layout study from ResPlan 12477.

Casa Lucerna is the editorial name for this two-bedroom layout study based on ResPlan 12477. The public tour offers a way to inspect room connections and boundaries; the name does not identify a built residence or commissioned renovation.

Reading the Casa Lucerna layout

A broad living room leads to a lower connecting passage between the second bedroom and kitchen. The first bedroom occupies the upper side, with one bathroom at its outer corner and another below it, creating a recessed edge above the kitchen.

The public model reports an approximate overall envelope of 11.163 × 7.189 m, with a modeled height of 3 m. These figures describe the reconstruction, not usable floor area, individual room dimensions or a verified building survey.

Rotate the Casa Lucerna study to inspect the connections described here. Compare the plan shape before checking thresholds, keeping the uncertainties noted in this story visible.

How the room routes connect

The lower connecting passage gives Casa Lucerna a route that can disappear in a decorative overview. Locate it before deciding where the living room ends. Movement toward the second bedroom and the kitchen shares this lower connection, while the upper bedroom belongs to a different edge. Furnishing the whole visible center as seating would blur that distinction.

A furniture decision to compare

The stepped bathroom projections make the exterior outline more informative than a bounding rectangle. They help explain why the kitchen edge is recessed and why neighboring rooms have different available wall lengths. Use those lengths separately when considering storage. A cabinet run borrowed from the broader living room may not transfer to the narrower connecting zone.

Review exercise: Casa Lucerna

Compare two camera views: one above the lower passage and one facing the stepped bathroom edge. Trace the living-to-kitchen route in the first, then identify which walls actually enclose it in the second. Sketch a storage idea only after marking the required turning space. Record any doorway whose connection you cannot establish from the published model.
