Casa Romero: Three bedrooms off an L-shaped living and entry area
Three bedrooms off an L-shaped living and entry area. A layout study from ResPlan 314.
Casa Romero is the editorial name for this three-bedroom layout study based on ResPlan 314. The public tour offers a way to inspect room connections and boundaries; the name does not identify a built residence or commissioned renovation.
Reading the Casa Romero layout
The living area turns from the entry-side edge into a central band serving all three bedrooms and the kitchen. One bathroom sits beside the upper bedroom, and another forms a horizontal bay between the kitchen and lower corner bedroom.
The public model reports an approximate overall envelope of 10.101 × 9.003 m, with a modeled height of 3 m. These figures describe the reconstruction, not usable floor area, individual room dimensions or a verified building survey.

How the room routes connect
The L-shaped living and entry area is Casa Romero’s organizing feature. Movement changes direction before reaching the central band of room approaches. A sofa placed across the elbow can turn the whole shared space into a detour, even if the straight sections look generous. Follow the kitchen and all three bedroom routes from the entry-side edge before placing the main seating group.
A furniture decision to compare
Keep the elbow legible as a connection and concentrate a furniture proposal within one straight part of the L. Compare that choice with a group spanning the turn, using the same total furniture footprint. The bathroom between kitchen and lower corner bedroom is a separate bay, so its approach must be included when evaluating the lower part of the shared band.
Review exercise: Casa Romero
Start at the entry-side living edge and trace the turn into the central band. Continue separately toward kitchen and each bedroom, noting which trips share the elbow. Compare furniture within one straight segment against furniture across that elbow. Finally add the lower bathroom destination so that a clear bedroom route does not conceal a blocked bathroom approach.
