Casa Dos Entrantes: Three-bedroom layout with opposing central recesses

Three-bedroom layout with opposing central recesses. A layout study from ResPlan 3268.

Casa Dos Entrantes is the editorial name for this three-bedroom layout study based on ResPlan 3268. The public tour offers a way to inspect room connections and boundaries; the name does not identify a built residence or commissioned renovation.

Reading the Casa Dos Entrantes layout

The living room opens into a central corridor between three bedrooms and an enclosed kitchen. A pair of differently oriented bathrooms sits beside the lower bedroom, with recesses in both the upper and lower edges of the plan.

The public model reports an approximate overall envelope of 9.998 × 6.271 m, with a modeled height of 3 m. These figures describe the reconstruction, not usable floor area, individual room dimensions or a verified building survey.

Rotate the Casa Dos Entrantes study to inspect the connections described here. Compare the plan shape before checking thresholds, keeping the uncertainties noted in this story visible.

How the room routes connect

The central corridor in Casa Dos Entrantes must be read between two exterior notches. Follow the indoor connection from the living area to kitchen and bedroom doors; do not let the upper or lower gap become an imagined shortcut. The bathroom pair is differently oriented, so a single assumed approach or furniture clearance would miss the local geometry of at least one bay.

A furniture decision to compare

Treat the corridor as the fixed reference when testing living furniture. The opposed recesses make a regular rectangular furniture sketch particularly risky, because it can quietly add nonexistent floor. Near the lower bedroom, compare the two bathroom relationships separately. Their rotation is useful evidence about shape, but it does not tell you fixture placement, plumbing or private use.

Review exercise: Casa Dos Entrantes

Outline the corridor and exclude both exterior recesses in a plan-view sketch. Trace living-to-kitchen and living-to-three-bedroom trips inside that outline. Add one imagined shallow storage piece along a corridor edge, then inspect both bathroom approaches near the lower bedroom. Record whether an apparent conflict is caused by the storage or by a mistaken shortcut through a recess.
