INK TO BRICK vs ArchiFacile: scaled drawing and 3D project review

ArchiFacile is useful for deliberately redrawing a plan with measurements. Compare the tracing and drawing effort with reviewing a reconstruction, and choose the drawing or model your recipient actually needs.[1][7]

Where each one fits

Choose INK TO BRICK if

Continue from a supplied drawing or supported model, inspect spatial views and correct native elements or imported objects in an ongoing project.[4][5]

Choose ArchiFacile if

Measured manual plan drawing, source underlays and scaled document delivery.[1]

Access and cost scopeYour first floor is built in 3D free. Pay to edit it; saving and downloads follow the paid-floor or subscription terms on pricing.[6]Compare the version needed for PDF/DXF, not only free drawing access.[3]
Input and starting pointStart from supported drawings, IFC or mesh files; check the import path before uploading.[4]Image/PDF/DXF underlays support manual tracing.[2]
Editing and interactionChat and Expert controls work on the same project. Native elements and imported objects expose different editing controls.[5][4]Set underlay scale from a known line; draw over it.[2]
Views and reviewInspect the plan and spatial views of the project; keep the source drawing available as reconstruction reference.[5]Hide the reference layer to inspect the resulting drawing.[2]
Preservation and recoverySave accepted changes and compare alternatives; verify the source dimensions and openings after each architectural correction.[5]Check where the manual trace differs from the original, particularly wall thickness and openings.[1]
Export and integrationBasic paid-floor delivery includes GLB and PNG/PDF; professional CAD formats depend on the plan. Check imported-object behavior in the recipient tool.[6][4]Documents image, scaled PDF and DXF exports with tier conditions.[3]

See the editing workflow

For an editable plan, inspect a wall operation and an opening operation. Drawing shows the running length; the door changes its swing within the same model. Use these specific tasks when comparing each tool’s documented controls.

The demonstrations use native elements in the sample duplex authored in INK TO BRICK.

Walls, fences and columns

Draw walls corner by corner, control snapping and continuation, reshape a wall, and draw fences and columns.

A wall being drawn on the plan beside the sample duplex, its running length printed next to it as the cursor moves along the grid.
The length follows the cursor until the next click fixes the wall.

Doors and windows

Place doors and windows on a wall, choose their type and size, flip them, and open and close them.

The study door selected on the ground-floor plan, swinging into the study, then flipped to swing into the entry when R is pressed.
R flips a selected door to the other side of its wall.

An underlay preserves a reference, not its geometry

Use a long known measurement to set scale and cross-check another independent dimension. Tracing lets you decide what each line means, but also introduces manual errors. Hide the underlay after drawing and compare the wall faces and opening positions with the source.

A scaled plan may be the complete deliverable

If the job is a furniture arrangement or annotated plan, choose the simplest deliverable the recipient accepts. If the review requires camera changes, materials and continued model edits, evaluate a 3D project separately. More formats do not compensate for an incorrect trace.

Scope and the next operation

We reviewed official underlay and export help, without drawing a project in ArchiFacile. It is a strong candidate for measured manual drawing. INK TO BRICK is relevant when that drawing must become an editable spatial review or a supplied model must continue alongside it.[4][5]
