INK TO BRICK vs FloorAI: editable plans and GLB handoff

FloorAI and Floor Plan AI are separate products. FloorAI documents direct plan edits and GLB output, so compare the correction and reopening workflow rather than assuming its result is only an image.[1][5]

Where each one fits

Choose INK TO BRICK if

Continue from a supplied drawing or supported model, inspect spatial views and correct native elements or imported objects in an ongoing project.[2][3]

Choose FloorAI if

Clean plan redraws, multiple drawing styles and direct layout adjustment.[1]

Task by task

Access and cost scopeYour first floor is built in 3D free. Pay to edit it; saving and downloads follow the paid-floor or subscription terms on pricing.[4]Free generation allowance; compare commercial rights and credits at checkout.[1]
Input and starting pointStart from supported drawings, IFC or mesh files; check the import path before uploading.[2]Accepts sketches, photos, PDFs and text.[1]
Editing and interactionChat and Expert controls work on the same project. Native elements and imported objects expose different editing controls.[3][2]Documents dragging walls/openings, room labels and furniture.[1]
Views and reviewInspect the plan and spatial views of the project; keep the source drawing available as reconstruction reference.[3]Lists schematic, technical, color and isometric styles.[1]
Preservation and recoverySave accepted changes and compare alternatives; verify the source dimensions and openings after each architectural correction.[3]Try a wall correction followed by another style export; check that both preserve the same opening.[1]
Export and integrationBasic paid-floor delivery includes GLB and PNG/PDF; professional CAD formats depend on the plan. Check imported-object behavior in the recipient tool.[4][2]Lists PNG, PDF and GLB downloads.[1]

See the editing workflow

For a workflow that includes editable geometry, compare the specific objects you can change and the views you can use to inspect them. These INK TO BRICK examples show a native wall operation and linked plan/3D views. Compare those tasks with the model editor or file delivered by the selected vendor workflow; image tools and model tools within a suite can produce different outputs.

The demonstrations use native elements in the sample duplex authored in INK TO BRICK.

Walls, fences and columns

Draw walls corner by corner, control snapping and continuation, reshape a wall, and draw fences and columns.

A wall being drawn on the plan beside the sample duplex, its running length printed next to it as the cursor moves along the grid.
The length follows the cursor until the next click fixes the wall.

Views and screenshots

Switch between plan, 3D and split, change how walls and levels show, preview and walk through the home, and save a picture of the view.

Mixed keeps the plan and the model side by side.

Editable output deserves an editor test

Choose a source with a recess and a door near a corner. Move only that door, undo, save and reopen. Record whether dimensions, room areas and furniture stay consistent. Vendor examples establish the advertised workflow, not the result for your drawing.

GLB is a portable scene, not an editing guarantee

Open a representative GLB in the recipient application. Check units, openings and object separation before comparing export breadth. In INK TO BRICK, imported objects and recoverable native architecture have different controls; neither a file extension nor a furnished view guarantees parametric walls.[2][3]

When to shortlist each product

FloorAI is worth evaluating for cleaning a listing plan and producing several drawing styles from it. INK TO BRICK fits continued spatial review from drawings or models. We reviewed FloorAI documentation; its authenticated editing, save recovery and GLB export were not tested.[2][3]

Sources and scope

The cited vendor pages support the capability comparison. Any direct demo observation is identified in the article; this is not a matched-source accuracy benchmark. Product details can change. Unavailable sources are identified, and older claims are not treated as current limitations. Check the linked plan, price and export details.
